Aitareya Brahmana - Chapters 1 to 10

This book contains the text, the translation and explanation of a part of the Aitareya Brahmana (A.B.). This book focuses only on the first 10 adhyayas of A.B. which has forty adhyayas in all.

We felt that the text and translation of the Brahmana book of the Rig Veda which is in prose should be available to the Veda lovers, especially those related to SAKSHI. Our book will be useful not only to those who have a little or no knowledge of Sanskrit, but also those who know Sanskrit and have familiarity with Veda.

Five introductory essays are given which may be useful before beginning the reading of A.B. The first essay is "Overview of Some Brahmana books', pointing out that these Brahmana books deal with a variety of topics, but the detailed description of the outward rite (bashya yajna) is not one of the topics.
